if you buy a bike with a salvage title, could you still register it and ride it on the street? thanks

 

nope DMV will not register a Slavage motorcycle. I bought a Salvage motorcycle almost a year ago and i had to fix the bike and clear the title which can take a few weeks to a few months. DMV inspector comes out and inspects the bike. Once it clears you can register it no problems.

Oh ya and u can only clear one motor vehicle per year unless you hold a salvage dealers licensce.

 

do you know what "clears" a vehicle from salvaged to good? motorcycle or car? or what the inspector looks for? i'm guessing it wouldnt be too far from a va state safety inspection.
