Default Low cost race cars?

I'm looking for a low cost race setup to start a company race series. This has actually been given the go-ahead by the president, cost estimates pending. Pipe dreams do come true..sort of.

So far I've got the 600 Racing Bandolero, Thunder Roadster, and Legends. Budget is very much an issue, because we'll be looking to outfit 7 or 8 cars, (one for each of our company locations) so does anyone know of any other cost effective cars out there? I don't really like the crudeness of the 600 Racing stuff, some of it kinda backyard-tech.. I want something light, not super fast (don't want to kill coworkers) and decent performance.

Oh yeah, I don't care about engines, or electronics, or gauges. All that will be taken care of, depending on need. Kits are fair game too.. One-off cars aren't good, because we need 7 or 8 that are the same.

Throw me some suggestions..

Sentra SE-Rs or BMW E30s

Throw a cage into either one stock and you're bound to have a good time.

No 944s. They will kill you in the maintenance department. You'd be cheaper off by getting a fleet of Vipers. TRUST ME.

Miatas will be by far the cheapest and best bang for the buck track cars you will find. Put on a rollbar and they will do fine for begginers on the track and have a world of upgrade parts available. If you guys get serious you can always go the Spec Miata route.
