I went on a Sat once and it was horrible... I only got 2 passes and I had to wait ALL damn day for them... I was told that Friday nights is the best time to go.... you get more runs and it is geared more for stret cars. Anyone around here been that can tell me if its a waste of time or not.... if I can't go and get 6-8 runs... it's a waste of a drive. Here's the remaining schedule.

saturdays are bad because that's when the race cars are there, they pay big bucks to run and everybody else defers to them because of that. there is a lot of rubber on the track, but if you want quantity over quality friday is your night.

if you want to get in 8 runs you normally can, unless there are lots of leaks, spills, breaks, etc.

 

We have a track rental on the 27th at Richmond, sign ups have been on TWR for some time now.

 

Track rental is more expensive, but dam If I didnt get 40+ runs

 

how long does it take to get to richmond dragway from newport news/ hampton?

 

About 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes.
The track is right at the 295/64 Interchange.

 

how much is the track rental?

 

$100 and theres only a handful of spots left i believe.

But like Whistler said ... you get so many runs in and I dont believe there is a tech.

 

do they run bikes also? or just cars?
