So I get a ticket from a cop in Chesapeake for a tail-light, it was dirty on the inside but he said it was out.. I'm not arguing. My girlfriend and I were pleasant and curteous to his face. We leave and I got to court for the ticket and I get it dropped.

Next thing I know I am getting a notice in the mail that my license is suspended and I owe the courts $97!

No way.

I finally get a hold of the courts today and they can't find my paperwork.. so they call me back.

Turns out everything was dropped and SOMEHOW I still get the notice and I've been driving scared to work all week.. having my girlfriend drive me around and having to mix our schedules.. what a pain in the ass.

 

Yeah, they leave up to you to fix it...

 

they were gunna suspend your license for a taillight?

Exactly, the judge told me I could leave. No charges or fines. Then my license WAS suspended for that BS.

I had to call and wait and jump through the hoops. I'm just glad I don't need to spend that money on a stupid ticket.

 

Wait til you get the $500.00 bill to reinstate your license...

 

I've been through that bullshit once with the DMV. They even admit to me not receiving the notice for the driving class and still suspended it. I swear VA just wants your money.

 

They dont call it the Communitstwealth of VA for nothing.

 

That's why you gotta love our wonderful City. Not only do they fuck up with the courts but when they do we have to fix it ourselves.
