Default Ok so I'm bored.

Yea so far this summer has been really boring here, and since at least half of my friends are gone etc, it has left me with very little to do to keep myself entertained. So, with that having been said, you guys got any ideas of stuff we can do to keep busy? Like honestly I just gotta find something to do as I am fully caught up with all my school work and there's nothing left for me to do on my car at this moment in time.

Volunteering is a good idea. Though I work 40 hours and I'm working on a new website and DVD w/car footage, so maybe something along those lines. If nothing else you could atleast do some crazy car stuff and I can put that on my DVD, it'll keep us both busy. Win win situation.

It's ok, him and Rguy came over and helped(watched..haha) Dan and I work on my car today.

Then we had a little highway run on the way home(not my car)...but a blue awd and a yellow fwd were involved

sick setup?? how many psi? how many hp? I dunno man, cool idea, but I just wish you the best- in that you don't blow it sky high etc. etc. That's a lot of compression to run with that much boost. I don't have any beef with your setup Nick, just a couple of questions, and please don't take them personally. So far everyone's been sucking you better parts, well I'm gonna question them:
#1 "I have more compression and I plan on making more power"-- while true, you will make more power with higher compression compared to a lower compressoin motor, you will ultimately run into a brick wall called detonation that will prevent you from boosting any longer.

#2 When I'm done, I plan for 7-8 psi on this engine(which has never been done on the JDM version). I'm hoping for ever 300 to the wheels with tuning, and there has only been one probe to do that, and he had it stroked to 2.7 L along with forged internals and a lot of other stuff(made 315 whp).
--- think about this statement Nick, again, I wish you the very best, but listen to what you're saying essentially "I know the best that's been done with a bigger engine than mine is 315hp, but I think I can somehow do better by defying physics"

come on guy, you'll have a fast probe no doubt, but just don't overshoot what you can reach ok?

in Nicks defense about the High compression and Boost theory. Its not a illogical argument to say that High compression would yeild a lower resistance to detonation. Everytime i look at Honda's ( like your car Parker; great displacement, high compression) i get blown away with the crazy amounts of Hp they put out, while most of them retaining Stock compression. i mean, why cant nick do it with his engine, when he has more displacement, more pistons and internals that are probably stronger.

but yeah, no doubt Nick does have a very big struggle ahead of him to reach the 300whp mark with his car/motor, but i know itll be a fun process getting there

Don't underestimate my research, better than most think Mazda engine, and skillz

I once saw an integra. It had stock internals. It ran a supercharger, and turbocharger at 21 psi, on 11:1 compression and made 425 whp. How? tuning.

I'm gonna be running a fully adjustable sds stand alone, and a wideband o2 just like jeff's. That with a very well intercooled 7-8 psi(which at that pressure isn't that hot to start with) should be very feasible. I know a guy running 7 psi on this engine with 280cc injectors and an fmu. I'm gonna be running over370cc injectors(hoping for 440's) with lots of tuning.

Don't think I'm not covering my ass here, and haven't spent the last couple years learning and reasearching it all

Just because I drive a Probe doesn't make me slow, and or unintelligent; which is contrary to popular belief about these cars and their owners! Time to kill that stigma.

Nick

....watch me blow my engine next week now! hahahah

No point in talking up the bullshit, do it or dont. Ya know? Internet arguing is going to go no where, as you are going to try your best regardless, so at this point its stupid to talk about it until you get hard facts staring you in the face. Until then you ARE "going" to run over 300whp. Everything always looks good on paper

I'm not trying to argue that I'm "gonna make 300 whp", that was just a goal I set for myself; gotta have something to aim at, for if you aim at nothing, you'll surely hit it.

And I'm not arguing, I'm just telling him how I plan on dealing with my high compression and boost levels. Just educatin' the public about what I'm doing is all

Nick
