anyone ever go to the shooting range? i have been to BOB'S on granby in norfolk. is there one in portsmouth/churchland/western branch? bobs isnt bad but it isnt very big. anyone have any that they prefer? how about one that you can use rapid fire weapons?
I've been going to Superior on Va Beach Blvd the last couple weeks, but thats not in your area. I haven't ventured anywhere else yet.
Edit: No rapid firing at Superior.
Go to Shooter's on Stanart St in Norfolk. It's right off of the Blvd, 3 lights west of the Military intersection, behind the Virginia Employment Commission on the left-hand side. Place has 12 lanes, 15 yards and allows most caliber handguns and small caliber rifles. No shotguns. And no rapid fire. I don't know of any ranges that will allow rapid fire. Insurance reasons.
Guy that runs/owns the place is a retired cop from Virginia Beach with 27 years. Also, an ex-Marine. Guy knows his stuff when it comes to guns. Can also order guns for you if you're interested. If you go, tell him that Mark suggested the place.
There is an outdoor range in Pungo on marvin road. I forget what its called but they have a variety of distances that you can shoot. You can do pretty much anything you want there. Black powder, shotgun, pistol, rifle. it has a nice set up.
The outdoor in Creeds (not Pungo) have a 25, 50, 100 and 200 yard ranges.
They allow "faster" fire with in reason. You start tearing up the range and then they get upset.
