Anyone able to cut off a radiator support and weld a new one on?
So I fucked up my radiator support with a jack (bent it)....I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to fix it....I can get a new support for about $150 with shipping, but I have a feeling a shop will charge extreme money to cut off the existing one and weld on a new one, so I'm trying to see if I can find someone (preferably someone with experience) who could do it that might charge less....I'm just weighing my options as far as cost to fix it, not trying to get someone to do it right away....any suggestions for shops are welcome as well...
TIA for any help

If you're getting it from Majestic Honda, you're going to pay out the ass for shipping, if they even do ship it. I did the exact same thing to my car and they wanted like $200 for the part and then another $200 to ship it and wouldn't guarantee that it'd get here in one piece.
But, when I finally did get it, I took it to Jeff @ Dreamworks and had him do all the work for me.

Oh yeah man, I won't need your guys help on my car any more. When I left your shop, the hood let go and smashed my windshield on Rosemont, not far from you guys. So, now the front end is going to be getting fixed anyway. Thanks for looking at it though.

Even funnier is while I was standing there, waiting for family and a ride and whatnot, there were 2 accidents. First one was *caused* because of Virginia Beach's finest and the other was only about 200 feet away, because someone wasn't paying attention.
