Default Oil return line...

My oil return line was leaking oil down by the turbo, and when I checked to see if it was loose, the line wobbled back and forth. I disconnected the return line, and the fitting that bolts into the turbo housing was almost completely stripped. I was wondering if I could by a fitting at the hardware store, or if I would have to buy them offline. I'm guessing that someone found out that the fitting was leaking a little oil and tried to fix the problem by tightening it instead of putting teflon or sealer on it and stripped the threads, but I don't know, I personally didn't build the car. Any help would be nice, and I'll post pics to help out.

Dustin

(You can see that the gold fitting's threads are almost comletely rounded off and where the blue fitting's threads have been beat up)

are you talking about the return or the feed line? because the one pictured appears to be the feed line.. if it is, you can easily find those at the hardware store. just make sure that if you need a compression (i think thats what its called) fitting that you get it and not a normal one.

It may be, it's the one I was holding in one of the pics. I really don't know that much about turbo cars, I just got this one last monday. But I'm trying my best!

The side that goes to the turbo is a standard NPT. That one is either a 1/4 NPT or a 1/8 NPT. The side that goes to the steel braided hose is either a -3AN or a -4AN.

Zach, none of those fittings are compression. One side is NPT and one side is Flare (the nipple looking side).
