probably not a bad block, probably a spun big end rod bearing. put a crank (yamaha cranks are cheeeeap) and some new bearings in it, she'll be good as new.

not to offend you or anything....but the whole bike for $5500 with a crapped out motor?? you're looking at probably $2000 in damages, for a crank, at least one rod, bearings, and the labor to do it all. that's alot of loot for a knackered bike.
i'll spread the word, i know alot of people that buy blown up/wrecked bikes to rebuild and sell, but i can't promise much for that price. good luck with that man.
