I don't think an accord tranny will be geared with as much torque. or at least my accord's isnt and torquie as the h-series ones

If I'm correct then all accords are F-series. The transmissions that are in them aren't geared for performance, they are more for an everyday family vehicel that is very economical. Before you go for an Accord tranny then you should drive one then another H-series, you;ll see a very big difference in torque and gear lengths.

Actually with an F22 tranny with a h22, your top end is strong due to long gears. Longer gears=longer vtec engagement. Get something to program your fuel and vtec cross-over(apex-i vfac) and turn your cross-over down to a lower rpm so you hit vtec earlier and you should have a long vtec engagement, which should equal good mid to high end power.

There was once a nice 5th gen prelude running that set up I know of that did pretty well due to being a pig. In your civic it should pull pretty hard. If you want to make good power with that tranny set-up, invest a little money in building your head and rev it to 10k+
