Default 96 Maxima SE heater problem

see, my heater works only while im driving, and heat stops when i sit still (at a red light or something). air still blows out of the vents, it just gets hotter the faster i go. after i hit 45-50mph the heater works like its supose to. this is a pain in the ass at times. anyone got a clue?

might want to check maxima.org for the diagnostic procedure for the climate control. that would be a good first step in diagnosing your problem.

here you go...because I am nice http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ht=heater+cold

Sounds like you have air in the cooling system, or else not enough coolant. Have you replaced anything recently that would have to do with the cooling system? Radiator/t-stat/etc?
