my 3rd gear recently went out and i know where i can get an f22 tranny for cheap will it just bolt up? and will my clutch and flywheel be alright staying in?

 

I am pretty sure you can, I am not sure if you have to swap out the bell housings or not though.

 

from what i have read and heard about a f22 tranny can bolt up with no problem just think u need to have a f22 clutch and flywheel but i do know that f22 tranny's will bolt up to a h22 no problem

 

i thought they were the same, just geard a lil different

 

So i wouldnt be able to use my clutch and flywheel out of my h22 tranny then??

 

The tranny will bolt right up. The clutch and flywheel will work also. With the f22 you are going to have very long gears though

You are going to fall out of the powerband in every gear

 

so then its prolly not gonna be ideal and i should just shop around for a h22 or h23 tranny?

 

dont get an f22 tranny. the gears are way too long. instead of shifting into vtec like the h22 tranny you have to let the rpms gain fro every gear in the f22. definly not worth it imo. the car will be slower if thats all you care about. considering it being mainly stock. i should know, i had one.
