Default Need fender painted - shop recommendations?

A tab broke on my driver side front fender (2002 z06) and I managed to ascertain another fendor but will need to have it painted to match the Electron Blue color for the rest of the car.

I plan to bring in the broken Electron Blue fender along with the "new" gray fender to the shop...

I called Springfield Auto Body and they said it was "impossible" and that I would have to bring in the entire car for them to "blend match" with the rest of the car for $1500

Anyone know any shops that can just paint the grey fender electron blue without having me to bring in the entire car?

It's hard to match up a fender unless you blend it with the rest of the car, but that should cost no more then $500 dollars for an excellent job. If all your looking for is to have the fender painted to match up as close as possible then it should only run around $100. Hell...I paint entire cars for only $700 and thats with base/clear and buffing!! I can paint your fender in about a hour and have you off on your way. If your close to Petersburg let me know and i could help you out.

A place I suggest is "Extreme Custom Collision". They are located at 1340 Profit Ct. Woodbridge, VA. 22192. Phone is (703)-490-1133. Talk to Chris. Tell them Moose sent you.

just take the fender and give them the paint code. and tell them to paint it.

but if you dont bring your car to blend the door, hood and bumper, then they aren't repsonsible for the paint match. but with your electron blue, it shouldn't be too bad.

Can I ask why someone with a z06 is whineing about paying $1500 to get a fender properly painted/blended with the rest of the car?

Good bodywork isn't cheap and cheap bodywork isn't good...not to mention this is a z06 that we're talking about and not a honda civic. I think i'd want it done right and to look perfect.

why burn money inefficiently when one can get the same results for less cost, than utilize the money saved for gas, clothes, mods, bills, paying down debt... etc?
