did anyone spot any sobriety checkpoints in thier travels this holiday season if so when and where as i heard the ad's on radio, saw them in the paper and on tv but did not see a single cop or checkpoint. tax money hard at work as usual!!

Instead it seems they rather look for modded cars to pick on.

on NYE i went from haymarket to chantilly to reston to south riding to fairfax to reston then back to haymarket and i only saw 1 cop the whole time

 

I saw nothing in our area... but I was wasted riding shotgun w/ the gf at 3am. Did see one Expedition flipped over.

What's cheaper.... lots of adds scaring people getting them not to drive?

Or the checkpoints w/ people getting holidy pay/overtime to stop people?

I'd say the former.

 

I didn't see a single cop either. I went through Fairfax, Tysons, Vienna and Great Falls.

 

There was a time last summer where I saw quite a few sobriety checkpoints in FFX county, but yeah this holiday season I saw none. Safe to say people just stopped driving drunk?

 

you know what, i did see a lot more cabs on the road this year

 

The cops found the party i was at...5 mins after the ball dropped.

lots of alcohol+underage kids+police=no tickets?

 

They had a check point setup on rt 17 in Yorktown a few days before New Years eve, but wasnt there for New Years. Also i was told there was on set up on Oyster Point Road in Newport News a few days before New Years also. Seems to me like they wanted to scare people from driving drunk.

i wish they had a checkpoint on 495 at 3am new years day. on my way home with mike "hookedup96rolla" riding shotgun , we almost got hit like 4 times by ppl going in and out of 2 lanes. every single person was going under 60. usually 495 is dippin at all times of the night

 

Went MD and back and saw one cop in MD. But I bet if I drove my car instead of my girls car i would have been pulled over for my tint at night lol!
