Owners of "Nara of Japan" off of Warwick blvd sold the place
They just gave my dad a call not too long ago and told him. We've been going there and getting the same guy(owner, named James) to cook for us since I was two years old and go every couple of months. It was in my opinion, the best hibatchi place out there, none of the others compared to it. I believe it'll remain open under new management of course, but it's just not gonna be the same.
Just thought I'd announce that because I know there were some people on here that mentioned it being one of their favorite places to eat. It's a sad day

That reminds me of a pizza place back home called Frankies. They had, hands down, the best pizza going, then they sold the place and the new management fucked it all up.

yea, we have 50 dollars in gift certificates to the place still... so we're gonna have to go back and eat there again under the new management... we're just not gonna get the hook up like we used to

they've been a part of my life for so long, i honestly don't eat hibatchi anywhere else but there.. now we're probably going to be charged for refills, not get the free stuff, not get anyone that can cook the food as good as James did, and all sorts of other shit. like, when i'd go in there without my parents, they'd always ask where they were, how they've been. they practically knew the time of the year where our birthdays were, all that stuff you know. everyone there knew us by name basically that had been there for a while. sad day
also, he always tossed shrimp to me to catch in my mouth. i went like 3 or 4 years without missing one
