Belt squell!!!!!!!! 94 talon
94 talon can't get rid of the belt squell on the altinator belt there are only 2 bolts i'm not real familiar with this car but it looks like its crooked how could i adjust this oh ya its a dohc 2000 i love domestics
hey the same thing happened to me. i have a 95 talon and i had to change my alternator. then the belt started to squeak. if anything i need to check it because when it gets cold the belt starts to expand. so jus check it. if thats fine then make sure that all of ur pullies and bolts are tight. and if thats not the problem then i might need to spray ur belts with sum belt lubricant. basically any lubricant's fine
lol belt lubricant.
The reason why it squeals is not because its loose, its probably cracked so much. I tried tightening my belts, but that didnt stop the squealing. I replaced my belts when they were squealing, and it fixed the problem. Overtightening belts will just make them snap.

"belt dressings" do nothing but cause more issues.
