Ford Leaf spring question
Are E/F-150 250 350 rear leaf springs interchangeable?
Will a E350 spring fit on either a E150 or E250? I need to up my payload to a ton.

Re: Ford Leaf spring question
hmmm good question . . have to check the width and length . .other then that should work . . I know some f350's have 2 1/2 inch wide springs (my dad's old ford) but some have 3's . . . . and not sure about the fords but some chevys 1/2 tons have 52 inchs springs and some 3/4 and 1 ton have 56 inch springs . . so not sure if I helped . probably not . . but just measure . . they have a couple 250 or 350 vans at pick n pull the other day . . . might even beable to use some off an 350 chevy or dodge van to . . check ur length and with and go meauser some stuff . .lol

Re: Ford Leaf spring question
but ya know even if they eyes to eye isn't the same length but the width is wright take apart both packs, . . use ur main leaf and put the 350 springs under it . . .. .or if ya want add the 350 springs into the 150 or 250 springs ya have . .and get extra . . done that before . . .just get em in order of lengths and bolt em back togeather . . .on our "old blue" f350 it has 21 leafs on each side under the rear . . . went accross the scale with 21500 lbs on the back of it . . *shrugs* . . . I got i think 8 or 9 under the recovery truck and went acrross the scale with 1700 in the back and it wasn't even hardly ont he first overload . .

Re: Ford Leaf spring question
Best front springs I ever got ahold of was some 450 superduty springs. Lined up perfect on my 79 K20 and talk about rigidity. 454 motor/ homemade angle iron brushguard, M1113 PTO winch, 100 yards of 3/8" cable, 75 feet of 1/2" logging chain wrapped around. That bitch had some weight on the front, never sagged a bit. Rears had a wider Eyelet, and I was too lazy to cut the mounts off the SD. F250/350 is a longer spring just like chevy, don't know about the Vans though.

Re: Ford Leaf spring question
air bags would be a better solution to your payload problem. the lengths are different. airbags are nice i looked at them before. about 300 bucks if i'm not mistaken.

Re: Ford Leaf spring question
dude i hope you realize that springs arent the only differences in the bigger trucks, the axles are bigger, and the brakes are alot bigger as well, the 350s usually have ful floating axles as well, i doubt the 150 axle would be able to handle a 1ton payload for very long, go with the helper bags if anything
