Out of curiosity, how many military cats do we have on here that are in driving distance from the NoVA area? I was sitting here in Iraq reading something in Stars and Stripes about a military car show in Europe, i forget which garrison it was on though. So it got me to thinking. I know a bunch of car guys on Belvoir that would prolly be down with something like this. Between Meade, Andrews, Myers, Quantico, and all the other bases in the area, we could prolly get a pretty good show together. Maybe even get some of the shops in the area involved to provide parts or services as raffle prizes and bring out some of their cars. Any proceeds that the show makes would be donated to a military charity like the group behind the Fisher House's or the Intrepid Warriors fund. Think about, have a good time showing off your vehicle for a damn good cause and support your fellow military brothers and sisters. Sounds like a good idea to me. Post up with some interest.

Awesome idea...I would drive up from the 757 to support barring certain circumstances.

 

i'm also sure that there might be a few non-military people that might be interested in supporting as well. i'm former mititary and i know i would. maybe something could be set up with the pass office for the cars/spectators so they may enter as well. just a thought.

Cool guys thanks for all the responses and interests. This is still only in the idea phase since I'll be in Iraq for a few more months. Once I get back this Spring, I'm going to start the planning in full force. I would definitely like to open it up to Non-ID card holders too but I've got to look into the logistics of that.
