Hey I was just wondering if anyone knew before I started the project wether or not a ford 302 V8 would fit into a Nissan 240? it would be a 90-92 model car and pretty likely that the motor would be a 88-89 throttle body with a Procharger I know the rear would have to be swapped as well as the tranny but once you get the engine in thats the hardest.......Well anyway just wonderin and hoping for some advice........

 

You could make it fit, but it probably wouldn't be worth it. There are, however, many shops that will put a LSX into a 240SX.

My advice, sell the Windsor and procharger, use it to buy a LS1 and you'd be sitting pretty.

 

Yeah what he said. I mean you could get it to fit, the rear end most likely would NOT need to be swapped out unless you're trying to drag race. You'd need a custom drive shaft, and you'd have to figure out how to mount it in the car...I assume you want to drag race because anything else w/ that motor and you're talking about a fucked up weight ballance. LS1s are not exactly a bolt in procedure, but you are talking about a V8 that weighs as much as the 4cyl engine in there already, and it will sit further back and lower when you finish the swap.

Shouldn't be done. It's an import, keep it that when. There are many capable motors for a 240 made by nissan. If you want a ford 302 buy a mustang.
