not for a day or 2.
i know this one clown left his R6 strapped down ini his truck for one week.
not the smartest move in my book.

what i did when i was making a trip to NY via DC i losened up the straps over night and unloaded the forks, then tightened them back down the next morning before i took off.

As long as you dont keep them compressed forever you'll be fine. a day or so wont hurt it.

its a good way to find out if your fork seals are going bad too, as they may leak a little if strapped down all day.

I bought a thing called a fork saver, its just a little plastic thing that goes between the tire and fender and it really helps. Let me know if you want it, I have no use for it anymore.

A piece of wood does the same job.
Do you have to remove the front fender for the fork saver too?

Nah it just sits in there. I'd kinda rather have plastic on my tires then wood lol.

that's all fine and good on a dirtbike. on a streetbike that'll chew up the paint on the fender and/or break the fender.
