ok so the other night i traded my 95 gsx for a 2000 civic si turbo and the guy says he cant get a title bc tippets wont give it to him according to him. I didnt think anything of it and he said he would get it to me when he got it. Well a guy on here had some free car faxes so i gave him the vin and it came back as having a loan or lein which would explain why he cant get a title. i called tippets but they wont give me any info on the car.Is there anyway i can call somebody to find out how much if any at all is owed on the car so i can get the title. he isnt gettin the title of my gsx til i get the civic title any help is appreciated

 

If there is a lien on the loan. You can only assume the loan ie. PAYOUT or get a loan for it. Then the lien will move into your name. Thats about it.

Have to ask the guy who sold it to you about the finance..or get a title search. Go to a NAVY BASE auction there's a guy that does it on the spot. Or if you know someone at a dealership tell them to look it up. OTT idk.

 

best thing to do is get in touch with dude i would assume, iwas in the same situation before. Not the best to be in.

 

the dude is in the navy and is out to sea til next fri but he claims he payed straight cash for it but that doesnt make since if car fax is say lein or loan and you would think he would have a title after 30 days of owning the car
