i am running a ls/vtec just built ...
according to http://www.zealautowerks.com/ my comp rat is 12.61:1 of coarse im goin to get a tune but for break in period and then on what octane should i use ? can i run like 93 and octane booster(does that really work) or mix gas and race gas ?? i also heard with the 10%ethanol 93oct is really like 91oct?

 

Run 93.

Check plugs accordingly.

Get tuned ASAP.

BTW. What pistons are you using?

Also. Gas has had ethanol in it for years...

 

Ive had no problems at all running the 93 with 10% ethanol. Id say run 93, you could get a map for race, or a race/pump mix.
