goods:
-cheap
-handle 400whp+

bads:
-out of spec (too small (makes them noisy))
-can't pick your compression, need to adjust other variables to play with compression

^^ pretty much. The piston slap isnt too bad on my setup and no one has reported any serious issues with the sizing. If u are really worried about it, get the 76mm ones and bore the sleeves. The compression issue can be fixed by milling the head or using a thinner headgasket. I milled my head .011 and my compression is about 8.7:1.

I highly recommend vitara's for any d16 build- high power or budget. the ringlands are nearly bombproof and the valve reliefs work very well. If you get the aftermarket (non-oem) ones they are coated too. I will be tuning for 400whp on my vitara setup in the near future.

Vitara pistons are worth the money. But I'm going forged for the extra insurance. I plan to do a Vitara setup one day.

And I'd go with AEBS head studs over the ARP's.
