Default Need a good lawyer for dispute

Like the title says I would like to consult with a lawyer for a dispute I'm having with a local company. I tried to work with them but they disrespected me so I have no choice but to look toward legal opitions. I'll be talking to the JAG at NOB about it but I would like to talk to a civilian lawyer too. I'm not from this area so I could really could use some help if anyone has some good info please let me know.

I rather not talk too much about the details yet basically a deal gone bad with a local shop. The shop haven't honored the work I have payed for and it's been over 7 months now and the car is still sitting there so it seems I have to pursue legal actions against them any info would be useful.

7 months? Surprised they didn't try to do a mechanics lien on it, etc, etc.

First step. Get your car back.. even if it means towing it.

Did they provide you with a written estimate of any kind which might have mentioned the time frame? Even so, 7 months is not "reasonable" by any measure. I'm not fluent in VA law unfortunately (yet), though, you may have a case with the unreasonable amount of time alone. Depends on many factors.

Just curious, without naming company names, etc. What work was needing done? The major work that is. Again, I ask simply out of curiosity.
