I just noticed that my A/C stopped blowing yesterday when I was trying to defog my windshield. I think my A/C crapped out on me. Where can I get it checked?
I know alot of places always give free A/C check in the summer time. Do they still do it this time of year?

 

Why would any repair shop give a free diagnosis?

Now Jiffy Lube might, but then again they are morons and would only tell you that its broken because they feel blowing hot air.

I'm not sure but Steve's Radiator on 17 in yorktown might. I usually take my car to them and they check it out and tell me what is wrong before doing any work or charging me. But, I would look them up and call and ask before going there.

 

Yeah and I bet all they do is check to see you have freon and it is working. However, if it is not working correctly, expect they will charge you to find out why or they will atleast charge you for a recharge.

 

id like to know as well, ive seen them around in the past. i about to put in a a/c system, i need to check for leaks, vacuum, and freon put in. anyone know who does free checks or do what i need done @ a good price?

Come on now. That is a silly question. Some people here dont use common sense. Who on here is blind and do not see big signs outside in the summer time with "Free A/C check" written on it? I never needed to get my A/C checked before, so I never took note of what places have those signs. Its same like how the tax places put out signs during the tax season. Dont act as if you dont have little sense. If I had to do a A/C check before, then I would remember where I went to do it. They obviously do not have these signs up now, because it is not the hot season for everyone getting their A/C repair. Anyone have gotten a A/C check before and remember where they went to do it?
