I have a '04 Pontiac GTO with just under 21k miles. It's still under warrenty till Feb '08! The only aftermarket items are exhaust/wheels, and a Magnuson Supercharger. I have the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act which says no dealer shall void warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarked part caused the problem.
My problem is, I have a Service Vechicle Soon warning light that beeps and flashes just about every minute! I took it to PERRY BUICK PONTIAC in VA Beach today and waited 2.5hrs and they come back give me the keys and say they wont work on my car because it has too many aftermarket items!
What I'm looking for is a place that will work with my car because it's still under warrenty with out any problems. I'm located in VA Beach.

 

Go to Advanced Auto and get them to scan your car for the code for free. Then come back with that info.


B/c if it has anything to do with the engine/drivetrain you're SOL. But if not, you should be able to take it to any dealer.

this is kinda funny.. you should def run the code reader first.. may just be something minor..

Also putting that maggie on your goat, you should have already figured on dealerships not working on your car as far as motor/drivetrain is concerned.. Added HP means added stress to both those = voided warranty

service vehicle soon is not the same as a service engine soon light. it is controlled by the BCM via a CAN system. generally its a reflash, however, until a Tech II is used to verify the integrity of everything, its soley guesses.


really odd that they didnt want to find some reason to have CP work, that is usually gravy money for the stealership.
