Colonial Beach Dragway and Brauning Motorsports have teamed up to bring you a new (mega meet) type of event. I am not saying it will be just like the real mega meet, but it promises to be a chance to get together without being hassled, and it has some advantages over the original mega meet. April 28th 2007 will mark the first of what we hope to be a monthly event. It will be held at the Colonial Beach Dragway from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You must be gone by 11:00 p.m. due to local ordinances. Not only do we have a safe and secure meeting location, but we have the advantage of being able to drag race too. This will hopefully quell the problems of the people who like to do the burnouts and bounce their engines off the rev-limiter. Hopefully with your input we can develop additional attractions to cater the the wants of the people who attend. There will be on-site food and refreshments available. Also if you are a business that would like to attend, there will be vendor spots open for you to be a part of it too. Contact Dave at Brauning Motorsports if you would like to discuss a vendor spot. How much does it cost to just get in and park????? Is it their standard price of 5.00?

It is in Colonial Beach Va. (804) about an hour and a half? from Norfolk area. 1 hour from Richmond. Hour and a half from NOVA. Half hour from So MD. 40 min from Fredericksburg. Check Our website. Brauningmotorsports.com for directions to our shop, the track is directly across the street from our shop.

Pricing hasn't been set in stone yet. Track would like to charge a $5.00 entry and an additional $5.00 to race. We are trying to get the price as low as possible. Everybodys "positive" input would be welcome. Their standard price for Friday nights test and tune is $15.00 by the way.

Hopefully this works out atleast it gives people a safe place to grudge race.. I'll defintely be thier racing and probably bring a few heads with me..

Rich i believe it is 5 bucks to get in and 10 bucks to race.. The good thing is it gives people a place to chill for 7 hours on a saturday night with no cop interference.. Hopefully all the local shops can come out and participate with thier cars or atleast hangout to help make this a better event.. I believe the owner of CB dragway is interested in doing import races regulary if we show good.. Going to any of these tracks for test and tune is crazy anymore waiting in line to race with all the trucks,race cars and junk.. On top of that we only get 3 import events a year at MIR and i believe 2 at Dinwiddie..

I like CB dragway alot has tons of grip and hopefully everybody can participate...

We are currently still working on the price to enter. As soon as we have a set in stone price we will post it for everyone. We encourage other shops/teams/crews whatever, to come and hangout. We are trying to have a place once a month where everyone can come hangout amd not be hassled, and race if you feel the need.
