Default Pssssshhhhht! (i've got a secret)

anybody kno if there is a hi-temp wireloom available? or atleast something that i can use to cover a 'wire' under my hood? the wireloom that was ther is now melted to my firewall thanks to my increased underhood temps.

i was thinking of using 3/8-1/2" fuel line to conceal my 'wire' but im not sure how tacky that will look.

any thoughts?

well, I'm thinking you could either go with your idea, or get some of that thermotec stuff, not sure on the exact name but it's something like that. You might also want to think about strategically placing some heat shields around your engine bay if you're creating that much heat.

turbo = heat. i had a heat shield over the xhaust manifold, but when i got the bathroom plumbing from under my hood i didn't see a point in having it under there.

guess i should go back to it

you run a turbo ? I'm confused. Anyhow, another idea, either get a cowl, or take the poor man's route by putting spacers between your hood and hinges. Some other people were actually testing the effects of doing this, by using a cheap little digital thermometer, and reported engine bay temps that were 10-15 degrees cooler at a stand still.
