take off head bolts clean thoroughly...check clearance specs for warpage....if alls good install h.g. and torque...then heat head up to 200 or so degrees then re torque head bolts or studs....
Head bolts are torque to yield meaning they can only be used once. There should be a tensioner below the water pump, thats how you remove the tension from the timing belt.
