What can i do to give this little motor some pickup so i don't get run over on the highway??? Besides swaping it i'm not ready to do a swap yet nor do i have the funds to do one. Thanks in advance.
Too much cuting to slap a sbc in it. Plus it would defeat the purpose of using it for a gas saver... I would turbo it but i think i might blow it up too soon.
Don't bother putting money into modding that motor. Its just a waste of time and money. Deal with it for now and start building a motor like I told you to. Biatch.

you can put a 16 valve head on it instead of the 8 valve and the si intake and throttlebody

Exactly, dont bother modding that either 62 or 70hp motor depending on your year. As previously mentioned, enjoy the gas sipping. If you really insist, do a MPFI conversion if you are an 88 or 89 with DPFI
