is there anything required to have vtec wired up to a obd0 pr3.or is it just plug and play. What i mean is if i just run the vtec wires to the ecu will vtec engage or is there something on a single cam longblock that the b16 didnt have, resulting in vtec not engaging??

No, All you have to wire up is the two wire's from the oil pressure sensor and then the one power wire. Just like a B16.
