Default tint experience... police welcome to read

has anyone been pulled over for there tint when it was legal? have you ever been pulled over just to get it metered? bc even if you have legal tint, feds can technically still pull you over just to measure right?

but has it happend to any of you guys? im taking down my tint to legal limit, but if feds in the area pull you over anyways just to measure whats the point to have them up anyways right? thanks.

thinking of 50/ and keeping the back 20.

On our accord, when my dad was pulled over the cop measured his tint. I have legal tint on it so it was no problem. They have a meeter where your window rolls into it and it sends in a beam to measure the tint.

On my white Z, I have 30% all around but I've never been pulled over. My friend has a WRX and he got pulled over with dark tint.

well the legal limit is 50/35...so technically you could still get a ticket for your rears. I had 20% all around before moving back to Va...but took it all off becuase I didnt want to deal with the hastle...bad enough I drive and import with a big wing and loud exhaust.

Never heard Police Officers referred to as Feds. When I think of that term....FBI, CIA, etc.

"feds" work for the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, hence the name. they have bigger fish to fry than window tint violators.

back to one of your questions, if a police officer pulls you over to check your tint that is legal, it would lead me to believe that you did something to draw his attention.

I believe you're allowed alittle break. I think it's 10% over and you might be ok. We do tint at our shop and we always try to tell people to stick within the legal limits cause the state boys don't play. Hell, there have been times when people have gotten legal tint from us and not from us that have come and had issues with meters reading them as illegal.
As far as the FEDS thing, yea that's just for the federal boys. The police are just your usual nick names. But if the feds are after you, you're in some real shit.
