car bogs at 4500rpm
car will run fine as long as i dont push it but when i floor it and the rpm's reach around 4500 it just bogs and doesnt want to go any further. it only does it every now and then. could it be the fuel pump? ecu is also throwing out a fuel system defect code. need some help before i just sink alot of money into a problem that is probably way to easy to solve. oh, it a b18b1 "LS" in a 91 hatch. thanx guys hope some one can help out.

make sure your ECU is pinned out right.
I'm having similar issues with my car, and I have narrowed it down to an ECU connection ;p (wires need switching)
Does it happen in cold/hot (or both?)
Either way, work your way through your CEL.
Clear it, and see if it happens again.

changed the fuel filter and car ran a little better but still does it every now and then. thinking it could be the injectors
