A/C leak.. how do you find it?
i definitely have an A/C leak. i put the R-134 in and or three days later, no cold air.... is there a way to check for a leak? last time i went to a shop to get it checked, they ripped me off.. so im pretty much done with shops in this area at least... so does anyone know what i can do to check for it?

there is a chemical you add to the system which is fosflourescent (spelling) ..you add it and than take a neon light to look for where it glows....

No, it is a UV light
That one is $50 from matco
The whole kit which is enough for 10 times is $93.10
Here is the link for Matco

you can use dye, but it wont show up on alot of leaks. a halogen detector works decent if you know how to use it, but a good Inficon is about 300 bucks.
hell, just do the standard DIY trick of throw four cans of stop leak in it....that will take care of it /sarcasm.
