I can't think what else it'd be.

There's a clunking noise if I'm going slow and turning, almost like a poorly seated spring or something but the suspensions been in there for 2 years. Then in a straight line its making a sound like a playing card in some bike spokes.

I looked underneath and didn't see any axle grease though, and the boots were dry & in place. Its definitely not a wheel bearing (I've had those go out on 2 different vehicles, this is nothing like that).

Just kind of unusual symptoms for a cv axle, at least from what I've heard about cv axles. Anyone know something else it might be that I should look for? Sounds like its coming from the driver's side. Also there's a slight tapping or something that you can barely feel through the floorboards when the noise is going.

But yeah, granted I've got very limited mechanical knowledge, but I'm still confused as hell and hoping someone can pitch in their $.02

Check your upper & lower control arm bushings. Do you hear it over bumps ?

Yeah, the clunking noise is over bumps. The whole "card in the spokes" sound just happened in the last 2 days, the other has been doing it for a week or so.

Chk your boots if they are separated. Good time to repack the boots. If it's not that then replace the whole thing

Well when I jacked it up again I was wrong, the springs weren't seated right, so I had to raise my car up like 1.5" to get to where I knew they would seat right when I took the car off the jackstands. Sure enough, that seemed to have been the source of the clunking noise. Last time I rotated my tires I had lowered it down some more, which I frankly had completely forgot haha b/c I didn't drive my car much at school. Still though, I don't remember it clunking at all till the last few weeks so that's still confusing but oh well.

When the car was jacked up I also put one of the wheels back on and gave it a few spins... definitely some clicking from the passenger's side CV (I was wrong on that too, sounded like it was coming from the driver's side). BUT when I put the car back down and drove it around the neighborhood I didn't hear any clicking so my only thought on that was by raising the car I took some of the stress off of the CV axle. Granted its still going to need replaced but with the car raised up a bit its doesn't seem to be something I need to fix asap.

But yeah I'm frustrated w/ the coilovers. I'm on tein ss coilovers, and if I lower it back down to where I like it, then I'm going to have to put up with the clunking noise b/c the springs aren't long enough to reach the perches if I lower them any more.
