Offshore Fishing ....
I plan on taking a boat out offshore fishing this sunday. I'm a def noob at this so I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on where to launch at etc?! i dont want to go anywhere too crowded cuz like i said, i've never towed anything, nor launch something as big as a boat (18'). I don't want to take her into the ocean as well, maybe backbay or, chesapeake, bay or soemthing along those lines. Dont want to be in rough current for the passengers with me might get sick
Thanks ... <3 Carlo

i don't think its really safe to take an 18' offshore, but in the bay it'll be alright. you can check wind and stuff like that on weather.com. i dont live on that side of the water to be able to tell you where to launch, but what are you trying to catch? either way its a ways ride from that side to the fishing spots i know that are hot right now

There's a public boat slip over in OV where the Fisherman's Wharf used to be. You can go out into the bay, or you can go down the Elizabeth past NOB, over near ODU, Riverview, etc.
Not bubba the redneck, Bubba's Tackle shop right next to Bubba's Seafood Restuarant. Its right over the Lesner Bridge.
Back Bay is brackish water and isnt that great for fishing. We used to go out there and catch largemouths. Now if you are only going for pleasure boating, then its fine.
