I thought pplz were complaining cause the Turbo protoge' was so expensive.....I looked at one Sat. and almost traded the Spec-V for it and still might......The most expensive one I saw at the dealership was 21,000$........Mazda owners must be cheap bastards......ANyway hows it drive I didnt get to test drive it....They didnt have a demo "MS" protege'

 

They are really nice. I am getting one as soon as I sell the jeep. I dont know if I want the orange 2003 or the silver 2003.5.. I havent driven it yet but I sat in one the other day and it feels good.

 

yea, they are nice cars. I almost traded the mp3 in on one. That idea was scrapped though when the dealer told me my car was only worth 10k in their eyes. So I just made the mp3 faster than a mazdaspeed.

I thought their trans couldn't support much more than what the engine put out. Something was maxxed out on that car I thought...

 

the transmissions will hold close to 300 horses but you can't slam the gears. I know this from experience. I'm on my 2nd tranny. the msprotege suffers from real bad turbo lag. it makes up for that in the handling department though. it doesn't handle quite as good as my mp3 but it's damn close.

 

I have a friend selling both his 2002 MazdaSpeed Orange, and 2000 Mustang GT convertable with BBS wheels and a couple of Steeda parts, you can pm me if your interested in either of them and I will give you his number. He is selling them because he got booted off insurance and financaly cant afford either car anymore.
