taking pistons/rings out of another engine... and using as is...


good or bad? i think it shouldn't be a problem, but i'm not sure. so that's why i'm asking you.

the car is already smoking (rings and maybe seals)...the engine in the shed wasn't smoking just bent a rod.

piston rings wear in to the motor they were broke in on. If you change that they won't seal and it will smoke and have lose of compression. Its not worth tearing the block back down.
