Default 92'Honda civic:faint clicking noise coming from behind the dash

Background info: I just put in a new clutch, rebuilt head and new head gaskets. I also put the engine harness back in.
Problem: I can hear a faint clicking noise coming from behind the dash and my check engine light is flashing really fast. This happens when I put the key in the ignition and is in the running position. I haven’t tried to start it just yet I need to put a new timing belt on.
Any suggestions? I have already checked the grounds and pulled the instrument cluster out checked the wiring and reinstalled.

Yeah that sounds like some sort of current arc. Did you shrink wrap your leads after you soldered them? That is if you had to do any repair work. It could also be some stripped insulation. Good luck with that shit, thats like finding a short noodle in a bowl of spaghetti.

The noise is my main relay.

Well if its the relay clicking, then there is a short, which could be in the relay or the wiring, so it sounds like you narrowed it down pretty good.

it might be the main relay cuz mine did the flashing and the clicking cuz the main relay had a bad ground on it
