Default ABS lips

I just ordered a ABS Plastic lip for my 96 four door. I got it in the mail today, in an odd looking box for a lip...I didn't know it wasn't hard plastic, and that it bent. It has four mounting spots but where it goes on the front facia of the bumper it has a flap, do you think it would stay, or should I use 3m double ply sticky tape to hold it down?
