www.verizon.com/telecomjobs

Top out in 4 or 5 years depending on experience level around $24-$30 per hour, plus overtime and benefits.

Jesus won't help you with math -- Moses is good at that shit. $24-30/hr is ($/hr x 40hrs/week x 52weeks/yr) $49,920-62,400/yr.

I have plenty of projects around the house and typically pay $8-10/hr in cash if you need extra work or want to learn some home improvement stuff (hanging drywall, electrical, network cabling, etc).
