damn, okay with that in mind ill give this guy a call he has two of them each about 130 apiece or so

 

Pick and pull has heads for $50 + a core. I have a couple of cores you can buy from me... all in all you'd be paying around $75-85 total.

 

do your heads have the valves still in them

 

yeah... actually I just thought about this. Why would you have to buy a core from me when you already have a core. Go to pick and pull with your tools, pull the head and then exchange your messed up head.

The only downside to doing any of that is you may pull a head from a car and it could be a warped head. That's why looking for an actual wrecked car is better, it limits the possibilities of it being a motor issue.

found a good head, now i need a cometic head gasket, anyone got a new one for the 6 bolt laying around, i can order one for 88 but i want it today if i can
