...buy it or no?
I've been wanting an older 240 fastback for a while. Friend had one that he offered to sell me, said it ran but needed a valve job. Wanted $700, I offered $500 cash right then and there and he wouldn't take it.
That was a couple months ago, his grandad told me tonight his mom's making him get rid of it. Went to look at it and the head's off, been off for a couple months. He's got two heads for it and everything else is there. KA24, five-speed, good exterior shape, interior's good (doesn't matter to me though...track car...like to replace the KA24 anyway...NOT for drifting)
Talked to him tonight he said $500 and I said no more that $350 and he accepted....so....
Should I do it? Engine isn't seized, sure I can get it running with a fresh rebuild. It ran before he pulled the head off a couple months ago.

Re: ...buy it or no?
Now my other question is...is the KA24 worth it? Here's the idea...
I'd like to have something just to tinker with for a bit and have a little fun with at the track. Not on a mission to build a beast or anything...but I do want something that will be quick and competitive in a street class...so I won't be sinking a lot of money into it but is it worth rebuilding for a good na engine?
Possibly turbo....?

dude for 350 you can get in it and strap on your seat belt at the top of a big hill in the country and have the time of your life flipping that bitch end over end til' the wheels fall off
