Default Tinted Visors/Shield

First question, I have an extra faceshield. Is it possible to smoke you own shield. I know people who have done it to car headlights, I figured a light tint would be good. I dont think it will work, but wanted to ask.

Secondly, to those who have smoke black shields, how are they? I wanna get one, Scropion makes a light smoke and dark smoke. But will a dark smoke hinder your sight at all? Im thinking about playing it safe and just going w/the light smoke option (but the dark sheilds look so nice). Thanks fellas

i tinted mine with car window film. works fine.

can't stand tinted shields at night though, so i took it off and i just wear sunglasses under my helmet, and take em off when the sun goes down.

I have a clear and a dark smoke visor. One of my jackets has a pocket in it for an extra visor so I just tuck whichever I'm not wearing in there.

Yea, I cant use a tinted face shield at night either.

I have one helmet with a chrome visor that I use for daytime riding.

I have another helmet with a clear visor, that I use when ever I know I will be riding after the sun sets.

I like this setup better than having to carry and change faceshields when needed.

It's a good setup, but I'm not going to wear a clear visor during the day. My eyes are too sensitive to the light and I hate wearing sun glasses when riding.

some of us go on long rides and can not just bring two helmets along anyways. I like your setup Corey.

alright good adive, I'll prolly go w/a dark smoke sheild and I'll try to plan my riding so I dont get caught w/the dark sheild at night time. Im still debating light smoke or dark smoke...
