Buschur Racing reclaims EVO MPH world record
From David Buschur
"We are back from the track.
88 degrees and no telling what the humidity is, it's humid though.
First pass right out of the trailer was a 9.06 at 169.59 mph.
Second pass was a 9.008 at 167.99 mph.
Third pass another 9.0 at 168.60 mph.
We only wanted to make time trials so we loaded it up and left as they were starting bracket racing.
Track conditions were not good, there has been over 6 inches of rain in the last 4 days, rain was coming through the track and they had to keep brooming/drying it.
The car ran a 129.37 mph in the 1/8th mile. Best 60' was a sorry ass 1.53.
Smooth as silk, no misfiring now that Daniel has completely rewired the car, I knew when it finally went down the track without shutting off we'd do well.
As a reminder this is 813 whp on our dyno
We are going to do some more work on the car this week. We have a few tricks up our sleeve we used on Al's engine and now that we saw his numbers on the dyno were higher than ours we are going to implement those changes.
Thanks for putting up the post Al, it's nice to have half the record back!
Also, Trent's daily driver, ran a 10.17 at 142.29 on Neova's tonight, drove it to work 60 miles, drove it to the track 10 miles and is driving back home 70 miles, in the quiet cabin with the a/c on. Good stuff."
