Exclamation Removing a Cat on a 90 5.0

I was wondering if it would be worth it to remove the cat from my 5.0 and if so, could anyone tell me how? What would be the gain from taking it off? It has a custom exhaust on it that my uncle put on the car for my dad but I don't know exactly what is done with it. It's a dual exhaust system, no Y-pipe, that's all I know really. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it.

IM me at NicTrickFlow5pt0 when you get online. I can help you out, but would rather not discuss it on the forums.

i hope you mean all four converters.....the quickest way to remove converters "for off road use only" is to get an off-road x-pipe, jegs, summit, etc have one.

get an off road x pipe...a lot easier to swap over, and install, too!

I tried to IM you back, but you signed off while I was in the middle of typing. At any rate...I run a local Mustang club in Richmond and have sources that could save you a little cash.

I live in Henrico so not too far from where you are. If you wanted to meet up some time or something let me know. I want to start building up my car, I just don't really have the knowledge yet of what there is to do.
