my problem is,the car was running till yesterday, heres the story, i have been driving it for over a month with no problems, i get home from work and not even a hour later i go to start it i get nothing, but i can jump start it, it has a good battery, good altunator, and once it gets jumped it runs like a champ.

anyone have any ideas

 

Maybe your ground cable just happen to not be tighten down all the way on the battery and when attaching the jumper cables you made a better connection.

 

no the cable is tight,

 

check your engine grounds. and make sure your pos. cable is tight too.

 

dead battery?

 

the battery is good,

 

check your grounds. especially your main ones.

if all the grounds are intact not corroded or anything other then perfect

check for parasitic drains. you might have one slowly draining the battery down.

 

i can jump start the car and let it run for however long. if i turn ir off everything stops working like the seatbelts, radio, interior lights, etc. and it wont crank or anything

 

alt isn't charging the battery when the car is running or your battery is dead and is not storing the charge from the altenator.

 

that battery is good also the altenator is good. thats why im stumped
