Default Y7 with Z6 head need info

D16Y7 with D16Z6 head. there is no jet that needs to be pulled is it for the vtec to work? and also will the Y7 belt work with the 2? or do i need Z6 belt. also, my cam pulley has 3 marks? which is the right one. same to crank. I lost my hanyes....ive changed the belt 2 times bfore, lol and can not remember.

you need z7 belt and headgasket.There is a oil jet on the y7 that needs to be pulled out for accurate oil flow.the cam will say "up".

y7 block has no jet to pull, as the oil jet is in the head. its under the center cam cap. belt = z6

z6 timing belt y8 headgasket will yield a little more compression plus it the metal one or just get everything for a y8 either way they are the same

not for a y7/z6 mini-me. all other bottom ends will need the jet pulled from the block prior to doing the swap.

a ls w/ turbo is about the same as a turbo d16. well it relly depends on the block you started with. if you did not start with a z6/y8/a6 engine, your best to just swap as the prices to swap over the the better d16's is about the same as a ls swap. and considering a ls trans is close to the same ratios as a z6 trans....then again i fully built a y7....
