I got a dump tube bent and welded up. Took no more than 15 min out the door and welds are very solid. Even threw some paint over the weld to prevent rust. Said he liked the car and didn't charge me anything. I ended up tipping him a 20 spot. Well thumbup to big als for speed and quality.

They managed to fit a wrong sized cat in there (my fault I bought the wrong one online) and they got it fit perfectly. Their welds were outstanding as well. Didn't let me go for free, but for the work it was a great price

 

I use to take all of my cars to them back in the day. All of my turbo DSM's had CBE's done w/minimal bends and my KA-T they did a 2.5"-3" TBE. Loved the work... much better than I had expected for budget projects. Easily worth $$$ spent everytime, and yes, they are very quick and consistent !

 

Do they mandrel bend, or just crush bend?

 

Mandrel up to 2.5" then crush for 3" unless they've recently upgraded

 

does anybody know how much a welding job for a muffler will cost there??

 

They no longer weld apc mufflers to stock exhausts. haha. not sure on pricing. Whenever i need some work done i call in the A.M and set up a time that day. They usually have a price for you on the phone except for custom work.

I just got my muffler welded on last week for $30 at the Big Al's on Independence blvd and pleasure house. i paid cash though, if it was credit it would of being more. don't know why, that what the guy told me.
