last night i was riding down indian river when literally about 12 cop cars go flyin past me, I then found out they were all heading to a crash that happened right near the entrance ramp onto 64. A friend called me and was crying and freaking out, she thought it was me, she had seen a motorcyclist sprawled out on the pavement, she said a streetbike and car had hit eachother then another car had rearended the first car. she said the biker was not in good condition. (apparently 12 cop cars and 2 ambulances were on the scene) Whats going on with all the crashes lately? everyone be careful out there, stay alert.


P.S. it was about 11:30 or so at night when this all happened

 

damn, they're dropping like flies. this is sad man. cagers...learn how to drive and riders...ride like NOBODY SEES YOU! because chances are - THEY DON'T! be safe everyone

 

There are more problems than people not seeing bikers. Drivers and riders are very crazy here. They both cut in and out of traffic, speed excesively, and just drive like general jackasses.

Also, there is a lot of traffic in this area. Drivers and riders need to keep their distance, drive/ride defensively and learn to avoid problem areas.

 

Could you give some more details?
Where on 64, southside or Penn? what kind of bike? Guessing since your friend called you, it must have looked like yours?

i'm sure it's pretty bad. i used to commute every day to work up to d.c. on my bike. you should try the beltway especially 395 around the mixing bowl...now that is a NIGHTMARE!

 

This is getting rediculous, people seriously need to be careful. I wish there was something we could do to get drivers to pay more attention.

the bikes were running from the police. and the car didnt hit the bike, the bike struck the car after losing control and the rider was thrown off the bike.

 

^^^ that's exactly WHY, everybody I know who doesnt ride, HATE all riders on the road. Anyways guys, It's time for us to start being safer and Smarter. Hope everyone is alright and they learned their lesson
